I believe in Simple Homemade Goodness. Cottage Foods made right here, in our 1864 farmhouse kitchen and baked in a vintage 1950 Hotpoint double oven I named Mae. It’s important to me that everything you find for sale will be as fresh as possible, using local ingredients, and always in-season...meaning you won’t find Blueberry-Lemon Scones when fresh blueberries are gone in late August, or loaves of Zucchini Bread in January!
The milkhouse will be open this afternoon and tables will be filled with:
Lemon Loaves $7
Blueberry Buckle $8
(an old recipe straight from Malabar Farm)
and cookies…$5
Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Kisses, and Chocolate-White Chocolate Chip
Hope you can visit!
The milkhouse will be open Saturday, we’re enjoying blueberry season while it lasts!
Blueberry-Lemon Loaves, Blueberry Scones, Blueberry Buckle (an old recipe from Malabar Farm) along with home-baked bread.
We sold out of everything last week. So stop by, we’re open 1-4 See you then!
Open today 1-4!
Thankful for a break from the heat and humidity, which makes baking in the kitchen much nicer!
Today it’s all things blueberry – blueberry scones, blueberry-lemon loaves, and blueberry buckle (a very old recipe from Malabar Farm).
I have two kinds of freshly baked bread (made this morning!) honey-molasses brown bread and 1750 bread (a recipe that’s been in the same family 275 years).
Hope you can stop by for a visit!
A heartfelt thanks to friends and neighbors – it’s been terrific to have you stop by all season!
See you in the spring of 2025!
Today we have cinnamon twist bread and honey molasses brown bread, along with peanut butter blossom cookies, oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies, and a new favorite: raisin-filled cookies - taken from a 1941 cookbook!
